I just bought the same popcorn machine 2 hours ago and have already used it, it works very well in my opinion. There is only one kind of popcorn kernal and you can find it any where like walmart or target. I used vegetable oil and it was fine, but coconut and canola oil will probably give you a little bit crispier popcorn. And coconut oil is what they usually use in movie theaters, but canola is definitely healthier. I've also heard the sunflower oil is good for popcorn and it is also very healthy.
